The Fnatic Dota 2 team has given the future to very famous players at the moment. This organization was different in that it signed contracts with teams from different regions. The first roster that was signed by Fnatic in 2011 consisted of players from Serbia. Soon, all the trains were dissolved, and the organization decided that they would do something new, but with old faces. Therefore, it was decided to transfer the existing Heroes of Newerth team to a new discipline, namely to DotA 2. And the organization did not fail. The composition of the Fnatic team of DotA 2, which changed the type of activity, became one of the most stable, not excluding small changes in the initial stages of formation.
This composition lasted for two years from 2012 to 2014 without changes and therefore began to be considered a classic for this organization. The core of this roster was players such as Johan «N0tail» Sundstein, Tal «Fly» Aizik, and Adrian «Era» Kryeziu joined by Kai «H4nn1» Hanbückers and Kalle «Trixi» Saarinen. This Fnatic team has participated in two The Internationals. And Fnatic matches were very much remembered by the fans, as the team showed a very high level of play. The team was one of the most memorable European teams in the tournament. Also, after the relative success of the European team, the organization decided to create a North American project, but unfortunately, the team did not play and did not show results, so it was decided to abandon this idea. After the European Fnatic team was disbanded in 2014, the organization stopped participating in Dota 2 events. After almost a year in 2015, Fnatic decided to return again as a DotA discipline team, and it was agreed to sign Team Malaysia with the Malaysian players. So the captain of the new Fnatic became Mushi. After which, of course, the team and the organization itself could not show the same level of both the game and stability, because the composition of the team has repeatedly changed.
But still, the team managed to take fourth place at The International 2016. The composition of the Fnatic team was as follows: Adam «343» Shah, Djardel «DJ» Mampusti, Khoo «Ohaiyo» Chong Xin, Yeik «Miduan» Nai Zheng, Chai «Mushi» Yee Fung. After which the team did not show high results. The team won the last prize at DreamLeague Season 9 of 2018. The match Fnatic - Team Secret ended with the score 0-3, and Fnatic took an honorable second place. As a result, the composition was changed. And that was for the best. With new players, namely «EternaLEnVy», «Abed», «UNiVeRsE», «DJ» and «pieliedie», the team managed to take fourth place at the end of 2018 at ESL One Birmingham 2018 and second at DOTA Summit 9. After an unsuccessful appearance at The International 2018, the roster of the team changed again, «EternaLEnVy», «pieliedie», and «UNiVeRsE» left the team, and «Jabz», «iceiceice» and «DuBu» were signed in their place.
2019 was a rather disastrous year for the team. For the whole year, the team managed to take only third place at DreamLeague Season 11. The team was also invited to The International 2019, but again showed a terrible result and took the last place.
2020 was quite successful for the team after the organization changed its composition again. Only «DJ» remained from the previous roster. All other players were changed. The team was joined by «Moon», «Raven», «Masaros» and «Jabz». With the new roster, Fnatic was able to take first place in five tournaments, including DOTA Summit 12, ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia, and ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia.
