Carlo «Kuku» Palad is a professional player in the discipline of DotA 2. He was born on September 21, 1996, in the Philippines. He began his career in 2015.
Carlo began his career in competitive DotA as part of the Mineski team in 2015. Then a young inexperienced player just gained experience. In his first professional tournament, The Prime Major, the player took third place. It was a good start for the player. The year for Carlo was very busy. The player with the team won such tournaments as Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 7 Leg 2, NXTGAME Dota 2 Invitational, Asia Arena Cup. At the main tournaments of the year, the team also showed a good game and consistently occupied 3-9 places. Among these tournaments were the Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 7, where the team took third place and the World Cyber Arena 2015 - SEA Pro Qualifiers, where the team took fifth place. In November, the team took 9th place at The Frankfurt Major 2015 and seventh at The Summit 4. After a bad start in 2016, the player left the team. The new team for the player was TNC Predator. With this team, the player passed qualifications for The International 2016. At the tournament, the team performed well enough, which helped Carlo to take 7th place.
2017 began with a victory at World Electronic Sports Games 2016 in January. And next month, the team takes third place in the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3. Then the team showed a mediocre result. In June, the team won the International 2017: Southeast Asia Qualifier, which allowed the team to take part in the main tournament of the year. In August, at The International 2017, the team took 9th place, it was a well-deserved place for the team, as the team was not in good shape for a year. But before the end of the year, the situation improved. The team began to win. The team took second place at the MDL Macau and the first at the China Top 2017 tournament. Carlo and the team also won first places at the World Electronic Sports Games 2017 Philippines Qualifier and ESL One Genting 2018 Southeast Asia Qualifier. In 2018, the team’s game declined. The team began to lose even to those teams that they easily beat last year. At large tournaments like The Bucharest Major, Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, MDL Changsha Major, and China Dota2 Supermajor, the team did not take prize places. The best result was the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 tournament, where the team took fourth place. In June, the team hardly passed qualifications for The International 2018 but took the last place at the tournament itself. At the end of the year, the team managed to win the World Electronic Sports Games 2018 Philippine Finals and take fifth place at The Kuala Lumpur Major.
2019 was less eventful for the player than the previous one. In February, the team won the Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 and, in April, took fourth place in the ESL One Mumbai 2019 tournament. Also, in June, Carlo and the team took fifth place in ESL One Birmingham 2019 and fourth in EPICENTER Major 2019. Because of not bad results, the team received a direct invitation to The International 2019. The team performed solid, but took only 9th place, losing in the game to Team Liquid. After unsatisfactory results, the organization decided to dissolve the team. Carlo has been with TNC Predator for three years. In September, the player was signed by Geek Fam. Until the end of the year, the best result for the player was fifth in the DOTA Summit 11 tournament. 2020 began quite successfully for the player. With the team, Carlo took third place on WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020 in January. In April, the team took fourth place at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia, second at ESL SEA Championship 2020, and third at BTS Pro Series: Southeast Asia. Since May, the player and the team began to dominate their region. Carlo took first place in Cyber.bet Cup: Spring Series - SEA, BTS Pro Series Season 2: Southeast Asia and ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League, as well as third and fourth places in tournaments such as ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia, Asia Summer Championship, and OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division.
