Ding «dy» Cong Biography

Ding «dy» Cong was born in China on May 11, 1997. He began his professional e-sports career in the Dota 2 discipline in 2017.

2016-2018

At the end of 2016, Ding joined the second lineup of Young Elite. He played his first tournament in June 2017, but the team took only 5-8 at the World Cyber Arena 2017 TPC Finals. And without reaching any good results, Ding leaves the team. And already in November, he decides to play with Vivi Gaming Potential. His first game for this team was in first place in the Dota2 Professional League Season 4 (2017 S2) tournament - Secondary. Ding played for this team until April 2018. The team no longer took prizes in all this time. After this, Ding decided to change the team because of disappointing results. In June 2018, he will join the Taichi Gaming team. With this team, the player takes third place at ANGGAME China vs SEA # 2 - Online Final. And without achieving good results, Ding leaves the team. But in September 2018, the Vici Gaming organization decides to change its roster, and Ding was invited to join the updated roster. In the new team, Ding revealed his potential. In December, the team wins two tournaments at once 2018 Sanya DOTA2 New-Stars Play and Dota2 Professional League Season 6 (2018 S2).

2019-2020

In 2019, the team also performed well on the world stage and took first places in StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 1, DreamLeague Season 11, and EPICENTER Major. After such victories, the team was invited to take part in The International 2019 tournament. The team took only 5-6 place. But for Ding, it was a tremendous experience. Besides, Ding was invited to The International 2019: All-Star Match, in which the player’s team won. Until the end of 2019, the team managed to win three more tournaments, such as Midas Mode 2 - Asia, World Electronic Sports Games 2019 China - Eastern Circuit, MDL Chengdu Major. 2020 was not the best year for the player and the team. The team took mostly not high or second places. The exceptions were two tournaments, OGA Dota PIT Season 1: China and OGA Dota PIT S3: China, where the team could take first place.
