Charlie «CharlieDota» Arat is a young e-sports player in the Dota 2 discipline. He was born on September 1, 1997, in Sweden. He began his career in 2015.
The first three years of his career in competitive DotA with Charlie were not very eventful. In October 2015, the debut of the young player in the Ancient Warriors team took place. The player took third place in the PGL Dota 2 Pro-AM Qualifier # 3 tournament. In December, already with the EE’s Disciples team, the player took part in the Mount Hermon Charity Tournament, but the team made only seventh place there. In 2016, the player also participated in only two tournaments for two different teams. At ProDotA Cup Europe # 3, Charlie finished fourth with Burden United. 2017 was a more productive year for Charlie. Together with Team 10, the player took first place at the ROG MASTERS 2017 Germany Qualifier, as well as first place at the King’s Cup: America Open Qualifier with Iceberg Esports. With this team, Charlie continued to perform until the end of the year. In January 2018, the player joined the Kingdra team. Together with the team, Charlie took part only in qualifications, but to no avail. After failing at The International 2018 Europe Qualifier in June, the player left the team. After that, Charlie replaced such bands as The Final Tribe, Singularity Esports, Burden United, and WU TANG. During this period, the player won the GG.Bet Dota 2 Battle tournament, took second place in QIWI TEAM PLAY Season 2, third in CryptØmasters and fourth in Taurora Invitational # 2. In November, the player joined the Kaipi team. With this team, Charlie finished third in the MegaFon Champions League Season 1 and joinDOTA League Season 14 Europe tournaments.
In early 2019, the player won the QIWI TEAM PLAY Season 3 tournament. In February, Charlie left the Kaipi team. After that, he was inactive for a long time and took part in small tournaments and qualifications as Stand-In for various organizations. In January 2020, the player was signed by the Chicken Fighters team. In March, the team won the Arena of Blood tournament and finished fourth in Hot Price League Season 2. After winning the Spring Championship and fourth in ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online, NiP signed Europe & CIS, the Chicken Fighters team. As part of the new team, the player began to show an uncertain game, which resulted in frequent losses. After moving to NiP, Charlie's best result was third place at BTS Pro Series Season 3: Europe / CIS and DOTA Summit 13 Online: Europe & CIS. On November 30, the organization announced that it was closing its Dota 2 roster due to disappointing results. For some time, the roster played under the name Chicken Fighters, but in early 2021 the whole team was signed by High Coast Esports.
