The team was created on April 25, 2014. The team was independent, but it positioned itself as the second roster of the already famous LGD team at that time. The team was named LGD.CDEC and consisted of little-known Chinese players with good potential. The captain was the ambitious middleman «Maybe», which was just starting to make a name for itself in Dota 2.
In October 2014, a momentous event took place in the team's life - CDEC separated from LGD and became an independent organization - CDEC Gaming. By March 2015, the lineup is finally being formed, «Q» becomes the captain. CDEC at that time was a second-tier team, and few could have imagined that at The International 2015, it would get to second place. After The International, the CDEC combat fuse fell a bit. At The Frankfurt Major 2015, the team reached 5-6 places, but in the future, even replacements in the roster did not help the team return to the top. At first, the lineup was wholly changed in March 2016. Then the team began to officially call themselves CDEC Gaming and abandoned the name LGD.CDEC.
But something went wrong, and the roster could not play and show good results. Therefore, it was decided to change the composition again. In September 2017, a new roster was recruited, consisting of newcomers to the pro-scene. The team had many replacements even after a complete change in composition. But this did not help the team much. They were able to win only the Asia Communication League Season 2 from 2016 to 2019.
In 2020, the team showed good results in qualifiers, but the team showed mediocre results in tournaments. It is worth noting that in the summer, the team finished fourth at ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: China and first at OGA Dota PIT S2: China. During the significant Chinese reshuffles in the fall, «Ame», «Xm», «Srf» and «James» left the team. In October, «Earth.», «Blood» and «Yds.» joined the team. But the lineup changes did not give good results, as sometimes the team played with substitutions. In December, only three players remained in the active roster: «Earth.», «Blood» and «Yds.».
