The Alliance was established in April 2013 in Sweden. But the composition of the team was formed back in 2012. Players such as Jonathan «Loda» Berg, Gustav «s4» Magnusson, Henrik «AdmiralBulldog» Ahnberg, Joakim «Akke» Akterhall, Jacky «EternalEnvy» Mao have already been gathered in the No Tidehunter team. With this roster, they were able to win DreamHack Winter 2012 easily. After that, the team began to be called the top list of the best roster and the European region team in DotA 2.
Unfortunately, the team soon disagreed with the players. The organization did not risk the stability of its team's game, and it was decided to change the composition. The composition of the team did not undergo significant changes. The organization refused the services of Jacky «EternalEnvy» Mao. But literally, immediately, a replacement was found for him. Jerry «EGM» Lundkvist joined the cast. Everyone was happy, as the team now consisted of Swedes, which was convenient enough. The organization made a decision, and an announcement was made on April 12, 2013. The new organization The Alliance has entered the global arena of DotA 2. The Alliance Dota 2 squad has already been fully assembled and played. In the same year, the team manages to win many tournaments and strengthen the championship in the European arena. The entire community recognizes The Alliance's Dota 2 team as the strongest in Europe. The team soon confirms their title at the G-1 Champions League Season 5 in China, and they triumphantly snatch victory in the tournament without a single defeat. After which, the team began to be called the strongest not only in Europe but also in the world.
In 2013, at The International 2013 World Cup, the team again confirmed that it is the strongest in the world. The Alliance won all the games and went to the group stage without a single defeat. Next came a series of crushing victories, and The Alliance became champions. What is very remarkable, in the final of The Alliance, we met with the champions of The International 2011, the Na'Vi team. As stated above, The Alliance won. And it was the best ending and one of the best confrontations in the history of the game. The teams played five maps, which was merely fantastic since this had never happened before and was repeated only once in 2018. This ending and the confrontation of these teams was called El Classico in e-sports. After that, The Alliance did not show previous results. Even the two-month vacation of the players associated with overwork did not have a positive effect.
In 2015, the team was able to win the World Cyber Arena 2015, which gave a little confidence to both the team and the organization as a whole. The last high-profile event was the 2016 victory at Starseries SL i-League Dota 2. Then the Dota 2 team, The Alliance, defeated The International 2015 champions with the Evil Geniuses team. After which, on August 28, 2016, players «s4» «AdmiralBulldog» «Akke» left the team, and on May 21, 2017, «EGM» left too. There was nothing left of the previous roster. On June 9, 2017, Loda ended his career as a professional player and became the coach of The Alliance. In early 2018, the organization brought together a new roster of players such as Michael «miCKe» Vu, Maximilian «qojqva» Bröcker, Samuel «Boxi» Svahn, Tommy «Taiga» Le, and Aydin «iNSaNiA» Sarkohi. In the first half of the year, the players played exclusively in qualifications for various tournaments and tried to play with each other. But unfortunately, the team did not get to one tournament either through qualifiers or by invitation. In June, the team took the 5th-8th place in the European qualifiers for The International 2018, resulting from which the team could not get to the tournament itself. In July and August, the team began to gain momentum and win small tournaments. The team took first place at X-Bet.co Rampage Series # 1, joinDOTA League Season 13 Europe, Rivalry.gg Rumble, X-Bet.co Rampage Series # 2, Sunday ES.BET Invitational # 2.
In September 2019, the entire squad moved to the Team Liquid organization. And in early October, The Alliance signed Nikolay «Nikobaby» Nikolov, Linus «Limmp» Blomdin, Simon «Handsken» Haag, Adrian «Fata» Trinks, and Neta «33» Shapira.
With this line-up, the team failed to show good results, and in 2020 the team was left by «33» and «Fata», and «S4» returned to the team and took over as captain. In May, Artiom «fng» Barshack joined the band on loan. The roster of the team was formed from such players as «Nikobaby» «Limmp» «S4» «Handsken» and «fng» But still, the team did not show good results. The team's best achievements were 2nd place at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3, ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS and OGA Dota PIT S2: Europe / CIS, as well as a victory at EPIC League Division 2 in December 2020.
