Midas Club DOTA 2

Team creation

The Dota 2 team Midas Club was founded in 2016 in Brazil. On November 1, the team signed the entire roster of Keyd Stars players at once. The Midas Club roster consisted of six players, namely «FuckinEh», «Sooths», «Liposa», «Bardo», «Thiolicor», and the sixth player was «Lolingblue» as a replacement.

Early years

Until the end of 2016, the team managed to participate in two tournaments. The best result was third place at WCA2016 AM Qualifiers. 2017 started rather sluggishly for the team. Midas Club took 3-4 places in different Tier 2-3 tournaments and took part in many qualifications. It is worth noting the first place at The Final Match Season 1 South America Qualifier. In the final, Midas Club beat SG e-sports with a score of 2-1, thereby avenging the defeat at The Kyiv Major 2017: South America Qualifier, due to which the team was able to take third place. In April and May, players «Thiolicor», «Sooths», and «Nedbone» started leaving the team and left the team a month later. Because the roster often changed, the players began to show poor play, which is why «Gambling» left the team on September 4. The rest of the roster left the team on September 10, which moved to the SG e-sports team, which beat them again. But already at The International 2017: South America Qualifier. On October 25, Midas Club announced a new roster of players such as «hFn», «Mandy», «Tavo», «KINGRD» and «Duster». The team was purposefully assembled to participate in the Captains Draft 4.0 tournament. Even though the new team took first place in the Captains Draft 4.0: South America Qualifier, they did not make it to the tournament itself. On November 11, the entire team moved to the paiN Gaming organization.

2018-2019

On January 28, Midas Club re-assembled a new line-up «Mandy», «murd0c», «Fuga», «Hyko», and «rZs». The new line-up did not show the expected results, and therefore practically all of them were changed by the summer. The best results for the team in 2018 were 3-4 places at the Brasil Game Cup 2018, ESL Brazil Premier League, and joinDOTA League Season 12 America tournaments. In August, the last players left Midas Club. Almost a year later, in May 2019, the organization again announced a new line-up of the team, which took part in several qualifications. Still, after a week, the team fell apart again.

2020-2021

In April 2020, FURIA Esports disbanded its roster. This situation was used by Midas Club and signed all the players. The team was joined by «RdO», «murdOc», «Sexyfat», «Hyko» and «Duster». It was a terrible year for the team. Even in Tier 2-3 Tournaments, the team did not rise above 7th place. Not showing good results in August, the entire team moved to Havan Liberty, but not for long, since in October, the full roster returned to Midas Club. In the same month, the team came to the Bootcamp in Ukraine, only without «Thiolicor», who left the team. Until the end of 2020, the team was unable to show any positive results. On January 2, 2021, it became known that «RdO», «Sexyfat» and «Duster», together with the coach «Astini», moved to the Ukrainian organization B8.
