The Peruvian Dota 2 team Team Unknown became famous after winning the International 2015 American Open Qualifiers' open qualifiers. The team is notable for being the first South American team to qualify for an event hosted by Valve, namely Frankfurt Major 2015.
The squad is known for winning the open qualifiers for Frankfurt Major 2015 and The International 2015 Americas. «Kotarō Hayama», «AtuuuuuuN», «Greedy», «Ztok», and «Accel» played together until December 2015, after which players went to other teams. A couple of days later, the team signed five new players at once, namely «Jeimari», «Matthew», «Nando.Shi», «"Prada» and «Inside». In the new 2016, the team was not doing very well, as it took part in only four tournaments, where it did not show good results. As a result, the organization fired the team.
2017 began with the signing of new players to participate in Kyiv Major 2017. Still, due to unprofessional behavior at Kyiv Major 2017 South America's qualification, the entire new roster was disbanded. Then «15 AÑITOZZZ», «Jeimari», «Frank», «Matthew», and «Inside» were fired from the team. In the summer, the organization announced the signing of a new roster to participate in The International 2017 Open Qualifier. The team, «Madara», «Jeimari», «Sword», «Fex», «Kaze», and «Prada», took first place. But the team did not show any more positive results until the end of the year. In 2018, the team was inactive, and in 2019 a new roster was signed, which played from June to September. Then the team focused on finding new players.
Compared to other years, 2020 has become the most successful for the team. The new line-up, which has changed throughout the year, «Berna», «Robo-Z», «Drakeel», «Wij», «Yadomi», «Mr. Jeans», «Greedy» and «Prada», but the shifts did not interfere with setting their personal records for the team. In 2020, the team won victories at the World Electronic Sports Games 2019 LatAM North, Ax Chill Cup, The Great American Rivalry Season 1 Division 2. The team finished fourth in the Movistar Liga Pro Gaming Final Series.
