The first Team Secret line-up of DotA 2 was created in 2014 after The International. Two former NaVi players decided to create their own team, as the current one's results did not suit them very much. Two great players, Clement «Puppey» Ivanov and Kuro «Kuroky» Tahasomi, began to assemble their future team. Then they found out that the Fnatic team said goodbye to the Israeli Tal «Fly» Aizik and the Danes Johan «n0tail» Sundstein. The latter were immediately invited to Team Secret. The fifth player of the team was Gustav «s4» Magnusson, who became the winner of The International 2013 as part of The Alliance.
In the summer of that year, the team, already in full force, called a star, decided to hold their first match at the Star Ladder tournament. Due to poor teamwork, the team was defeated and lost to the former s4 team, The Alliance. After a relatively good cut, Team Secret decides to change the roster in the winter of 2015. Tal «Fly» Aizik and Johan «n0tail» Sundstein leave the team. In their place, they immediately decide to sign Artur «Arteezy» Babaev and Ludwig «zai» Wåhlberg, who left the composition of EG.
After a couple of months, in the spring of 2015, Gosurankings calls the Team Secret team the strongest line-up in Dot 2. And the team confirms this by taking the first two places in The Summit 3 and ESL One Frankfurt. At the World Championships, The International 2015, the team could not show good results and took only 7-8th place. After an unsuccessful performance at The International at the end of the summer, Artur «Arteezy» Babaev, Ludwig «zai» Wåhlberg, Gustav «s4» Magnusson, and Kuro «Kuroky» Tahasomi decide to leave the team. After that, Clement «Puppey» Ivanov becomes the only player who has never left the Team Secret roster. The new players are Jacky «EternalEnvy» Mao, Alivi «w33» Omar, Rasmus «MiSeRy» Berth Filipsen, and Johan «pieliedie» Astrom. The new roster's team takes second place at The Frankfurt Major 2015, losing to OG and their former teammates Tal «Fly» Aizik and Johan «n0tail» Sundstein.
In the spring of 2016, after winning The Shanghai Major 2016, Alivi «w33» Omar and Rasmus «MiSeRy» Berth Filipsen left the roster. Artur «Arteezy» Babaev returns to their place, and Saahil «Universe» Arora becomes a new team member. In the summer of that year, the line-up changed again. The team decided to leave Saahil «Universe» Arora, and Kanishka «BuLba» Sosale invited Team Secret to replace it. But after a couple of months, Team Secret introduced the new composition of their team. In the new season, Team Secret gathered such players as Pe «MP» Noa, Yeik «MidOne» Nai Zheng, Lee «Forev» Sang-don, Johan «pieliedie» Astrom, and Clement «Puppey» Ivanov remained unchanged captain.
After all this time, until 2019, the team often changed its composition and made various permutations. This helped the team move in the right direction. In winter, the team wins The Chongqing Major, and in late spring, they take first place at the MDL Disneyland® Paris Major. At the largest DotA 2 tournament, The International 2019, the team takes 4th place.
In 2020, the team wins or takes the top places in almost all tournaments in which it takes part and becomes the strongest in the world. During the year, the team managed to take nine first places, among which it is worth noting the following tournaments: OGA Dota PIT S3: Europe / CIS, OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division, ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1 and, of course, DreamLeague Season 13.
