Djardel Jicko B. «DJ» Mampusti, also known as «Chrissy» is a professional Philippine Dota 2 player, born November 6, 1994. Currently, the player stands for Fnatic. He began his professional career when he was in high school. Djardel started playing DotA AllStars and he soon joined the Pag-Ibig team.
After Dota 2 was announced, many players, like «DJ», turned their attention to this game. In November 2013, Djardel joined the EoT Hammer team and immediately moved to South Korea to train and perform in his team's region. Adaptation to South Korea and its culture was difficult, as was the financial situation, as the income was only from his winnings in tournaments. EOT Hammer managed to take fourth place in the Nexon Sponsorship League Season 2 and second in the Nexon Sponsorship League Season 3 tournament. On May 4, 2014, the EoT Hammer team received the new name Rave, and «DJ», along with most of his comrades, continued to play in the new team. After that, «DJ» with the team went to the semi-finals of I-league Season 1 and took fourth place in the MSI BEAT IT 2014 tournament.
Due to the achievements of the team during the new game season, Valve invited them to the first main event, in addition to The International, DAC 2015. Then the team failed to show a good result. The team took 5-6th place, despite the 12th place in the group stage. The team even managed to defeat the favorites of the tournament, namely Invictus Gaming. This tournament was the beginning of the «DJ»'s spotlight, as it became widely known for defeating the TongFu team in a group stage match during the tournament, demonstrating an impeccable Storm Spirit game with a score of 14-0-12. After this tournament, the team’s game declined. Rave could not pass any qualifications for tournaments. The last straw of patience for Djardel was the failure at The International 2015 South East Asian Qualifiers, after which «DJ» decided to leave the band. On June 19, 2015, it was announced that the player would join the MSI-Evolution team, but staying in the new organization was short-lived. After The International 2015, Fnatic announced that «DJ» was their new player. The player was very happy. In September, he was recognized as the best player of the month according to Mineski.
2016 was quite successful for the player. The team took third place in the Starladder i-League StarSeries S2 tournament and fourth place at The International 2016. After that, «DJ» left the team and joined the Execration team. But before that, he acted in this team as a substitute and took first place in the MPGL Southeast Asian Championship. After failing at The Kyiv Major 2017: Southeast Asia Qualifier, the player decides to Execration and a month later returns to Fnatic. The player is still playing for this team. For three years, the team has not achieved any outstanding results, 13-16 places at The International 2017-2019 and sometimes the organization won prizes in local tournaments.
But that all changed in 2020. Jardel and his team began to dominate the Asian region confidently. During the year, a player with Fnatic took part in 11 tournaments. They won five tournaments, the best being DOTA Summit 12 and ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia. It is also worth mentioning two third places and one second in tournaments of various sizes.
