Arthur, a native of Uzbekistan, who is currently a Canadian citizen, was born July 1, 1996, in Tashkent. Before starting his career in the professional scene, DotA 2 showed interest in such games as DotA and Starcraft II.
Due to his young age, Arthur did not consider himself as a professional player in DotA 2 until he finished his schooling. During the summer, during the holidays, «Arteezy» joined his first Kaipi team with «ComeWithMe». However, after only four months, Arthur left the team to focus on his studies again. In September 2013, «Arteezy» joined the Take Five regional team to take part in the RaidCall EMS ONE Fall Americas tournament, which the team won as a result. But soon, the team broke up. In November 2013, Arthur acted as a stand-in in bOne7. They performed at the MLG Columbus tournament. At this tournament, «Arteezy» easily beat the elite players in their position, such as «Mushi» and «Dendi». The victory in this tournament attracted a lot of attention to Arthur from the players and the community. January 31, 2014, «Arteezy» together with such legendary players as «UNiVeRsE» and «Fear», as well as future stars of the professional dot-2 scene «ppd» and «zai», who switched from HoN discipline, created a team S A D B O Y S. Literally right away, the team began to show good results. The team won 16 of the 18 tournaments in which they took part. As early as February 21, 2014, the team was signed by Evil Geniuses. This will be the first time Arthur is fully committed to the team. On March 7, 2014, the new EG roster debuted at the Monster Energy Invitational, where they won Cloud9 in the final. With this victory, the team quickly began to gain a reputation as one of the best teams in the world, thanks in large part to Arthur's dominant game. On April 29, «Arteezy» and his EG teammates were directly invited to participate in The International 2014. But at the tournament, the team took only third place. The final game of the series was decisive for EG, but they lost it, as many claimed due to a mistake by Arthur, who decided to buy Hand of Midas very late.
On January 6, 2015, it was announced that «Arteezy» had joined Team Secret and would change its role in the team. The team became one of the best in the world after the transition «Arteezy» and «zai». The team took third place at the Dota Asia Championship 2015 when Arthur's former team, EG, defeated them. After this, Team Secret immediately won four tournaments in a row, Redbull Battle Grounds: Dota 2, The Summit 3, MarsTV Dota 2 League 2015 Spring, and ESL One Frankfurt 2015. After which the team received an invitation to The International 2015. After the failure at the tournament, Arthur left the collective. Then Arthur rejoins the Evil Geniuses. But, something went wrong, and the team no longer showed such amazing results as before. After the 4th Dotapit season, where EG lost 3-0 in the grand finals, it was announced that «Arteezy» left EG again and took «UNiVeRSE» with him. Players returned to Team Secret. After disappointing results at The International 2016, Arthur leaves the team again and returns to EG on September 15, 2016. During this time, the team took part in three more tournaments of The International, where the highest place that the team made was third.
Until now, Arthur «Arteezy» Babaev stands for EG. The team had its ups and downs. But they are waiting for the new season and the new The International which the team has set their sights on after the last change of roster. The team managed to do this for three years in a row. In 2017, the team finished ninth at The International, third in 2018, and fifth in 2019. 2020 was a pretty successful year for Arthur. With the team, he managed to take second place at the DreamLeague Season 13. The player also won two third places and four first places in local tournaments.
