Arif «MSS» Anwar was born November 28, 1995, in the United States in a family of immigrants from Bangladesh. When the parents found out about his son’s passion for computer games, they were negatively inclined. Arif often had to play in secret from his parents when they were not at home. At first, like many professional players, Arif did not believe that he would perform professionally. But everything changed when he began to act as a replacement for various North American teams such as Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, and Team Dignitas. Then Arif achieved impressive results as a substitute.
After that, Arif became the most famous and best offlane player in the North American professional scene.
He began his professional career with the Fnatic.NA team. Even though the team did not achieve much success and broke up very quickly, Arif gained fame when he several times showed excellent performances as a substitute in Team Liquid, as well as in a couple of tournaments together with Evil Geniuses and Dignitas. But everything changed when, in September 2013, the Evil Geniuses organization officially signed the player into the main team. But in December, after a series of unsuccessful performances, the team broke up. And Arif returned to his usual business, namely the game as a substitute in different teams. But already in March 2014, he was again officially signed by the Team Dog team. After showing a good game in the ESL qualifications for the One Frankfurt 2014 tournament, the team began to gain popularity. This was the reason for the signing of the team by Mousesports. Very soon, the team won the open qualifiers for The International. At the tournament itself, the team took 11th place. After the tournament, Arif decided to keep his promise to his parents and took a break in his professional career. All this was in order to go to college.
Then after the rest, the player joined the Dark Horse team, which was soon signed by Cloud9. But having shown excellent results on qualifications, the performances at the tournaments themselves were not very productive. After the last place at The Frankfurt Major 2015, Arif left the team and joined the Shazam team. In the first half of 2016, Arif stood for Shazam, but after numerous setbacks, he changed his team. In July, the player became part of Team NP. Arif has been playing with this team for a whole year. In June 2017, the team went through open qualifications for The International 2017. After which the entire squad was signed by Cloud9 and the team took 13-16 places in the tournament under a new name. After such a failure, Arif, during the autumn reshuffles, went to the Digital Chaos team. But in November, the team was disbanded due to unsatisfactory results. In February 2018, Arif joined the VGJ.Storm team. The team showed an excellent result in qualifications for The International 2018, and in the tournament itself takes 7-8th place. Then in September, Forward Gaming was created and signed the entire composition of VGJ.Storm. The team showed good results in the North American region.
And in 2019, the team won qualifiers for The International 2019. After that, the roster was signed by Newbee, as Forward Gaming ceased to exist. At the tournament, the team took 9-12th place. In November 2019, the roster was signed by Chaos Esport Club. In early 2020, the team was disbanded, but the player began to play for the Quincy Crew in the spring. Arif had a great year with this team. 13 tournaments of which the player won nine and took second place in five more. Together with the new team, the player began to dominate his region.
