Ticket sales for the main Dota 2 tournament of the year will start soon. The International 2021 will take place in Romania.
The International 10
The International is the largest Dota 2 tournament of the year, hosted and organized by Valve. The tournament’s prize pool will be $ 1.6 million and was increased due to the sale of Battle Pass 2020. At the moment, the prize pool of the championship exceeds $ 40 million. Dota 2 fans helped Valve to earn this impressive money amount by made in-game purchases in the Compendium. In addition, 25% of all funds raised through the Battle Pass went directly to the prize pool.
This year, 18 teams will take part in The International:
- – 12 best teams in the Dota Pro Circuit rating received direct invitations to the tournament;
- – Another six teams participating in the championship were determined through regional qualifiers in the Eastern European, Western European, Chinese, Southeast Asian, North and South American regions.
Ticket sales for this event will begin very soon since Valve decided that the tournament will be held offline. Therefore, anyone wishing to watch the game of the best teams in the world will be able to purchase tickets from September 22 at noon. The sale will take place through the official Valve website. The organizer company took the issue very seriously because Valve announced the requirements for everyone to buy a ticket and visit the tournament. Furthermore, all spectators of The International 10 must be vaccinated and wear masks at the stadium where the tournament will be held. Moreover, fans who will come to Romania from other countries need to be familiar with international travel rules. These rules must be followed by absolutely everyone since, at the moment, the coronavirus epidemic causes restrictions. Therefore, Valve has detailed all the rules and details.
Tickets will be sold as two-day passes. There are three options in total, and it is clear that tickets for the final will cost more:
- 12–13 October — $59;
- 14–15 October — $59;
- 16–17 October — $237.
The International 10 Dota 2 will take place in Bucharest from October 7 to 17. The tournament participants will compete for a prize pool of $ 40 million.
