Real structured weekly amateur team competition is one of the coolest features in the game. This mini-tournament is for beginners. It launches on weekends in the Dota 2 client. What is this Dota 2 Battle match? This invention by Valve allows low-level players to gain a new experience compared to ranked matches and LAN tournaments.
Dota 2 Cup is a tournament of 8 teams. Losers are eliminated from the tournament. The winning team must win three matches. Opponents are selected depending on the region and rank. If there are members with different ranks in the team, the enemy is matched to the player with the highest level.
Who can participate in the Battle Cup? This championship is available for free to Dota Plus subscribers. Other players must purchase special tickets. Battle Cup Ranks and Schedule
For the selection of opponents in the tournament, mastery ranks are taken into account (according to achievements during the last season):

- Archon – Rank 4.

- Immortal – Rank 8.

In the future, a team’s rank is determined only by its successes or failures in the struggle for the Dota 2 Battle Cup. The competition schedule is assigned in each region separately.
The categories of the Battle Cup, depending on the rank of the account, are determined as follows:

What is given for winning Dota Battle Cup?
Each member of the team that won the cup is given:
- A beautiful trophy, while the icon is visible in the chat next to the nickname.
- Description of the winnings in the profile.
- Exclusive championship emoticons (7 pcs.).
- Unique statue of a champion.
- 20 thousand fragments. Dota Plus members can exchange them for in-game items.
It’s a pity that all these awards are only kept for a week. But, besides them, the participants are also given points:
- If there are no winnings of the team in the cup – 10 points.
- For winning the first round – 30 points.
- For winning in the second round – 80 points.
- For an overall victory – 150 points.
Tournament points are retained until the end of the season. Players can use the points to track the progress of the player in the fight for the cup. At the end of each season, the final stage of the competition takes place – the Champions Cup. To get there, you need to earn at least 110 points. After that, the winners in each region participate in the qualifiers for The International.
