The future pro player was born in 1995 in Denmark. For gla1ve, CS:GO has become a lifelong hobby – at the age of 15, he began to seriously get involved in first-person shooters. One of the first such games for Lucas was CS 1.6, and a little later, he moved to Source. The young man showed excellent results in several local tournaments, and thanks to this, Rossander was accepted into the amateur team Reason Gaming under the nickname gla1ve. A little later, he moved to Epsilon, then changed several more teams.
In 2012, Lucas managed to get into the professional e-sports organization TT Dragons, acting in the CS:GO discipline. It worked under the auspices of the computer peripheral manufacturer TTeSports. Unfortunately, the team did not last long and ceased operations in the same year. During this time, Rossander was noticed in other organizations and was invited to Anexis, which became his first truly, top team. Together with him, the player took second place at the Copenhagen Games 2013 tournament.
Until 2016, Lucas changed organizations often but played well everywhere: his teams won prizes at significant esports championships. But everything changed when the young Danish team Astralis decided to change the line-up altogether. One of the invited players was gla1ve – he was familiar to Astralis from his previous successes. The cooperation turned out to be fruitful: the player stayed in the team for a long time, and in 2017 he became its captain and remained so to this day.
Lucas launches CS:GO using the following peripherals:
Rossander launches CS:GO with the following additional parameters:
gla1ve’s CS:GO crosshair is quite simple. It is a regular crosshair without a dot in the middle. The error during movement and shooting is disabled. The cross is fixed and always has the same appearance. The colour of the sight is white. The player practically does not use other shades. It is not difficult to configure the marker in this way yourself, but if you want one hundred % coincidence with the gla1ve parameters, you can download the CFG file (it is in the public domain).
Like many other esports players, Lucas plays at low graphics settings. All advanced options except FXAA anti-aliasing and 4x MSAA filtering are disabled. The player’s screen resolution is 1280 x 960. All this provides the best frame rate and allows you to react to the enemy in time. The mouse sensitivity is average, and it is 6. Lucas uses a static map of a square shape, a typical type of radar for e-sports.
Rossander’s tactics can be described as aggressive. He never camped, never hid behind cover. Even playing for defense, he behaves very actively: he presses the enemy on the way to the site and does not hold the point statically.
This information is not publicly available. Although for gla1ve CS:GO is a profession, Lucas does not have a personal account on Steam under his nickname, so you cannot see the time he spent in CS. The player himself does not extend about this. But, according to rough estimates, he spent several thousand hours in CS: GO.
For gla1ve, CS:GO is work, so he devotes a lot of time to training. They consist of several stages:
Astralis pays roughly $ 1 million a year for gla1ve. For example, during 2019, he earned $ 740,000. But from 2022, the player’s income will increase: in August 2021, he achieved more favourable terms of cooperation with Astralis.
The player is married to Danish streamer WoW Sinterbell. The real name of the girl is not publicly available. However, it is known that in 2021 the couple had a son, Milas.
For the average player, no, as they significantly reduce the quality of the graphics.
No, because Astralis raised his salary.
With this team, he won 16 tournaments.
