Battle Pass will be renewed

The International 10 Battle Pass will officially end this week. Unofficially, this may not happen so early.

In theory, Battle Pass 2020 can still be extended again. The Battle Pass is an in-game compendium that you can upgrade and receive rewards for levels. It was always released a couple of months before the start of The International and ended after the tournament. But Valve has always found a reason to extend the life of the Battle Pass by shifting the end date.

Valve has already done so this year. The end date was pushed back by a week due to server malfunction in Southeast Asia. This malfunction made Valve move the end date from September 12 to September 19.

However, in 2020, the Battle Pass had enough problems and shortcomings, and most likely this forced Valve to renew it.

One of these reasons could be that Immortal Treasure 3 was detained. Because of this, the Battle Pass has always been a highly talked about event. Dota 2 players and fans alike accused Valve of changing the system, making it artificially challenging to obtain levels in order to pay for them with real money.

Over time, things did not improve. Along with the existing problems, new ones have arisen. Such was like complaints about some models of new skins and the increased waiting time between the releases of the main awards of the compendium.

Disappointed fans got angry after Valve announced that there would be no Trove Carafe 2020. This turned out to be a watershed event for the community, along with the news that Dota Pro Circuit is being postponed indefinitely. This caused a flurry of criticism against Valve. But luckily, the company responded to this.

The most significant problem Valve has so far is that they are unable to announce Immortal Treasure 3. It has always been one of the most anticipated and recent events of the Battle Pass, but it has never come so close to the Compendium end date before. Which made the fans again express their anger since there is very little time to get levels, and you will have to pay.

If Valve is unable to deliver Immortal Treasure 3 by the TI10 Battle Pass end date of September 19, the Battle Pass could be extended even further.
