Netflix is partnering with Valve to release a Dota 2 anime series. {TRAILER}

The anime-style animated series will hit Netflix home theaters on March 25. The project was named Dota: Dragon’s Blood.

The series will consist of eight episodes and will tell us the story of one of the Dota 2 characters – Dragon Knight. Davion, the hero’s real name, will fight the dragon and, as a result of defeating him, will receive the power that we know from the game.

It is worth recalling that, according to LOR, Davion is a dragon hunter who has been tracking down his old enemy Eldwurm for a long time. But when he did find him, he was disappointed. The dragon became old and weak. Davion saw no honor in this battle and left the dragon alone, but Eldwurm asked the knight to fight him so that the dragon could meet death in battle. The knight went to meet the old enemy and struck him with a blade in battle, but he himself was seriously wounded. The blood of Davion and Slyrak mixed and infused the knight with the power of the Dragon. It was Eldwurm’s gratitude for the honor.

South Korean studio Studio MIR (The Legend of Korra and Voltron: The Legendary Defender) will be the series’s creator. Ashley Miller («Thor» and «X-Men: First Class») will be the showrunner, writer, and executive producer and will be co-produced by Ki Hyun Ryu («Voltron: Legendary Defender»).
