Dota 2 creeps – who are they and how they can be useful to players?

In Dota 2, creeps are neutral or enemy creatures. They are present on the game map. Players can leave them alone if they don’t attack themselves. There is another option for action – killing such characters and getting resources for this, which will be useful during a battle with enemies.

Dota 2 creeps: the main types of mobs

Today in Dota 2, there are two types of creatures that are not part of any of the opposing teams: neutral and enemy. Both varieties have their own characteristics that must be taken into account.

Line creeps

Mobs from factions of darkness or light. They move in lines in the direction of the enemy camp, forming a kind of wave (hence the name). Spawn in 3 barracks. Dota 2 creep timings are half a minute. Such characters’ attack heroes under the player’s control or their own kind, provided that they belong to the opposite faction. Attack neutral creeps in the vicinity. There are three types:

• – Swordsmen. They have a lot of health but do little damage. They appear in large detachments.
• – Magicians. They have low HP and can only attack from a short distance. But the damage from the cast is quite large.
• – Catapults. They appear every 10th wave. They shoot far away, take away a lot of HP, destroy buildings.

For the destruction of stacks of mobs, resources are given. They can be used to purchase various items before the battle and improve the character. For example, if you destroy the barracks of enemy swordsmen or mages, you can get allied super creeps. Opponents for killing them will be given less gold and experience. But the increase in some skills will increase (to damage, health).

Dota 2 neutral creeps

These are the game heroes who do not belong to any of the factions and do not touch if they are not disturbed. Found in camps in some areas of the map. For a neutral creature to enter the battle, you need to provoke it: attack yourself, come close.

There are several types:

• – Dota 2 forest creeps (weak). Found in the forest. The weakest variety. Defeating such creatures is easy. But even gold is given for them quite a bit.
• – Average. These are centaurs, wolves, ogres, and some other characters. They are stronger than the previous type of heroes. But for defeating them, more resources are issued.
• – From the big camps. Some of the most powerful neutral creatures on the map. Defeating them is not easy, but the reward is worth it.
• – Ancient creeps Dota 2. Special units that tolerate the effects of the magic well and have a high damage rate. These are dragons, lizards, golems.

Roshan deserves a special mention. This is a unique creep that spawns in the center of the map. Due to its abilities, it is not easy to destroy. But if this succeeds, the team will receive a lot of gold and experience and several useful items.
