Description
The 2021 WePlay AniMajor is the second Major tournament of 2021. 18 of the best teams will compete for the $500 000 prize pool. It was organized by WePlay Esports and it will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Unfortunately, the epidemiological situation does not allow to receive guests, the tournament will be closed to spectators as the player's and employees' safety is the highest priority.
Format
Wild Card will be played in a round-robin format all matches are played in the best-of-two series.
Group Stage will be played in a round-robin format, and all matches are played in the best-of-two series. The top two teams will advance to the upper bracket playoffs, and 3rd to 6th place teams will advance to the lower bracket playoffs.
Playoffs will be played in a double-elimination format, all matches are played in best-of-three, except for the Grand finals which is a best-of-five.
