Ninjas in Pyjamas DOTA 2

Team creation

The first team of DotA 2 was created by the famous Swedish organization with the original name Ninjas in Pajamas in 2015. Then the organization signed the ready-made LAJONS team. The team consisted of players who had previously performed in the Heroes of Newerth discipline. The line-up consisted of a former member of the Fnatic team «Era», as well as «Apemother», «jonassomfan», «Sealkid» and «Handsken».

Early years

The team was waiting for the first significant failure at The International 2015. Then the team could not qualify for the tournament. Even despite this kind of failure, the organization decided to leave the composition unchanged. But after a series of disappointing results and breakdowns on qualifying for The Frankfurt Major, the organization Ninjas in Pajamas chooses to dissolve the team. Since the organization did not see any prospects, even taking into account the change of team members.

2017-2019

In the winter of 2017, after the team was inactive for more than a year, the organization announces that it has decided to resume the team in the Dota 2 discipline. The team is returning with an updated roster, which was formed based on the former Escape Gaming team. After that, the team acquires a full-fledged roster of players such as «syndereN», «Era», «qojqva», «Trixi» and «H4nn1». The players «syndereN», «Era», and «qojqva» previously played together in Escape Gaming, and «Trixi» joined in late 2016 as a substitute. After two changes in the composition and disappointing results, the organization decides to abandon its DotA 2 team in order to focus more on other eSports teams. Therefore, in the summer, the organization dissolves the team. In the fall of 2018, the organization decided to sign a new roster that was created by ppd. And the new composition began to show good results. So the team was able to win at such tournaments as, WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Radiant, OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2, GG Bet Invitational Season 1. The latest line-up that played at The International 2019: «Ace», «Fata», «33», «Saksa», «ppd».

In September 2019, the organization announced that it had assembled a new roster that included players such as «Skiter», «Gunnar», «Universe», «TANNER», and «Biver». With new players, the team managed to take third place at DreamLeague Season 12 and fifth at DreamLeague Season 12DOTA Summit 11.

2020

2020 started badly enough for the team. In April, the entire squad was fired, and Chicken Fighters were signed to replace him. The new team, which included «CharlieDota», «Supream ^», «SabeRLight», «Era» and «SoNNeikO», which had previously shown good results in the new organization, could not find their game, the players above the third place in the Tier 2 tournament could not borrow. Therefore, in November, the organization decided to dissolve the Dota 2 team.
